Link exchange defined - Types

What are Links ?
Connecting two joints is called linking.
For web world links are hypertext links on website written in html code. Links are the connections between hypertext pages they connect one page to another webpage.MAy be from same website or another.
What is link exchange ?
Link exchange means to exchange link with other websites.It can be done by various methods such as filling link exchange forms or by simply sending e-mail to webmasters.
Types of link exchange ?
Link exchange can be defined in 3 or 4 ways:
1.Reciprocal link exchange -
Reciprocal or two way link exchange: in this type of link exchange we have to place other websites link to our link or web page and request hinm to return favour by adding our link to their web page this is the most common link exchange practised
2.One way link exchange :-
In one way link exchange a website gives other website a link, without any return link.This type of links are given generally to important websites which contains some useful information and webmaster of the site whihc is giving the link thinks that it will be important for his website visitors.
3.Three way link exchange :-
3 - way link exchange
Explained with example :
if You have two sites like "A" & "B" and Your link partner has one site like "C". if "C" links to "A" and in return ,"B" links to "C".This is called 3-way link exchange.
4. Parallel or four way link exchange:
Explained with example:
if You have two websites like "A" & "B" and your link partner also have two sites like "C" & "D".if C links to "A" and in return "B" links to "D".This it is called 4-way link Exchange or parallel link exchange.

Outward links/outbound links/External Links
Just vice -versa for back links means the links which we give to other websites are all outward links.
Inbound or incoming links:
A link from a site outside of your site.In other words the link from the other website to your website.It is taken as vote in website ranking in google.
Internal links: An internal link allows you to link to another section on the same web page, so it basically scrolls the page up or down to the desired location. This is helpful to the user to quickly jump to the information he/she is looking for.
